Kristi Chipman, DCN, MS, RD, LD, FAND has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for 18 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Iowa State University. She then furthered her education and received a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition (DCN) from the University of North Florida. She is currently the dietitian for Ferris State University athletic teams, working primarily with football, women's soccer, hockey, men's basketball, men and women's cross country and track, and men and women's tennis.
She has been a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) since 2003, is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a member of the American Sports and Performance Dietitians Association. She is also a member of Dietetic Practice Groups including Sports & Human Performance Nutrition, Nutrition Entrepreneurs, and Behavioral Health Nutrition.
She has been an athlete all her life. In high school, she played volleyball and ran track and went on to earn a scholarship to play volleyball in college. In her free time, she enjoys running 5Ks to half-marathons, playing volleyball, cross-country skiing, kayaking, reading, and crocheting.
